About

1 in 7 women, and 1 in 10 men suffer from postpartum depression. I specialize in perinatal and postpartum counseling, anxiety, depression, infertility, pregnancy loss, single parents, LGBTQIA+, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), NICU, relationships, parenting, family conflict, job stress, and women’s issues. I see teens and adults across the life span. Including men. Especially working women.

Trusting a therapist with the most difficult parts of your life is not easy. I get it. It’s a scary step to take, but you’re worth it! I will hold space for you, and together we’ll process the hard stuff. I’m comfortable with the uncomfortable. I’m curious, and consider myself a life-long learner. I am committed to practicing cultural humility. I value inclusivity, diversity, personal autonomy, and integrity. I believe that people can change. And even though change is hard, it’s worth the effort. I appreciate how tears, laughter, and cussing can represent a multitude of emotions, often in the same conversation.

My approach

If you care about the jargon, I’ll tell you that my practice is person centered, trauma informed, and strengths based. I draw from several research-based modalities depending on the individual needs of each client, including somatic therapy, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and acceptance & commitment therapy (ACT). I’m also trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). What that really means is, together we’ll take the time necessary to process your needs, explore new ways to cope, and move you consciously towards your mental health goals. My therapeutic style is authentic, nonjudgmental, and laid back.
